Weight creeps up on you like London fog. One day your clothes fit, the next day you have to buy a bigger size but your mind hasn't made the connect, so you're still trying on clothes in what used to be your size and getting incredibly frustrated because they won't fit.
Well I have a theory that small imp-like creatures actually get into your clothes at night and sew all the seams in by a a good few inches. I have no proof, and I'm considering applying for a Grant in order to collect the evidence necessary. I'm a snacker, I like snacks, I tend to snack a lot, did I mention that snacks are life? Maybe those imp-like creatures are called Snacks, I'm saying, Grant money to fund my investigation would really be appreciated. I made a decision a few years ago, that I needed to part ways with that weight thing, but getting rid of excess weight can be like getting unwanted and uninvited house guests to leave. At some point you just have to stand firm and kick them out, as we would say in St. Vincent and the Grenadines "who vex bathe" (basically, "I don't care"). So I decided that if I must continue the infernal snackfest, I might as well find healthy snacks. I'm that person who needs to feed a craving or end up bingeing. I found roasted chick peas and I've never looked back. These little guys are healthy and they're not loyal to any flavour, throw whatever you want at them. I've made Buffalo style, spicy, garlic and Parmesan, the possibilities are endless. Make them sweet, make them savoury, do whatever you like. Eat them as a snack, put them in salad, roll around in them, hey what you do in your kitchen, is none of my business.. This batch involved sriracha, I'd say eat the right away, because they lose crunch after a while. One can of peas makes a decent sized serving for one..or maybe for me.... here's a recipe you can try out.
